JAMMU, Feb 7: Three J&K Boxers crushed their rivals and sailed into the quarterfinal round of the Boxing event in the ongoing 35th National Games at Kerala.
In 60 kg (girls), Anju Bala of J&K smashed Arensangla of Nagaland and registered berth in quarterfinal round.
In 60 kg (boys), Dheeraj of J&K beat Rajnish Kumar Rana of Bihar and in 69 kg category, Ashish Jasrotia registered victory over Vikas Sunnywal of Tripura. Both Dheeraj and Ashish Jasrotia qualified for the quarterfinal round.
Meanwhile, Khalida Bano and Pardeep Sharma entered into pre-quarterfinal round under 75 kg and 49 kg weight categories respectively.
The J&K Boxing team is being led by Senior Boxing Coach, J&K State Sports Council Anil Kumar Wadhera and general secretary, Boxing Association Dr Nirmolak Singh.
