JAMMU, Mar 17: Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir under the aegis of J&K Sports Council is going to hold three days 32nd J&K UT Volleyball Championship (boys and girls) at MA Stadium, here from tomorrow.
“As many as 25 teams in the boys and girls selected from across the JK UT shall compete for the top honours,” informed Chief Executive Officer of the Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir, Kuldeep Magotra.
Magotra added that the championship, in which about 300 participants along with officials are taking part, will be inaugurated by the chief guest, Nuzhat Gul Secretary J&K Sports Council.
The opening ceremony will be presided over by DYSSO Jammu Sukhdev Raj Sharma, Magotra said.
The office bearers of the Association, headed by CEO Kuldeep Magotra held meeting in this regard today and finalized all the requisite arrangements for conducting the championship along with coaches and officials of JK Sports Councils.
Principal Secretary, Youth Services & Sports, JKUT, Alok Kumar will be the chief guest of the concluding ceremony who will distribute prizes among the winners on March 20.
