37th Inter Frontier BSF Hockey Competition commences Jammu, North Bengal, Punjab sail to next round

JAMMU, Oct 21: Jammu Frontier, North Bengal and Punjab Frontier crushed their respective rivals and sailed into the next round of the 37th Inter Frontier BSF Hockey Competition, being organized by BSF Frontier Jammu here today.
In the inaugural match, Jammu Frontier trounced Guwahati Frontier by 4-1 goals and registered berth in the next stage of the competition.
Earlier, the 37th Inter Frontier BSF Hockey Competition was declared open by SS Tomar, IG BSF in presence of BSF officers and officials.
While speaking, IG stressed upon the importance of sports while discharging duties at border.
He stressed upon the personnel to participate in the sports activities to keep their body mentally and physically fit.
In the competition, a total of 11 teams of various Frontiers are vying for the coveted trophy.
