SRINAGAR, Sept 5: State Cabinet, which met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah here this morning, accorded approval to the appointment of 39 officers to the Time Scale of Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (KAS).
According to the order issued by the General Administration Department following Cabinet’s decision, 38 officers of the feeding services have been appointed by promotion to the Time Scale of KAS.
These officers are Ved Prakash (CAPD), Basharat Hussain and Natasha Kalsotra (Employment), Rifat Aftab Qureshi, Rajneesh Gupta, Ghulam Jeelani Zargar, Susheel Kumar, Farooq Ahmad Baba, Gurmukh Singh, Rimpy Ohri, Bal Krishan, Arun Kishore Kotwal, Bansi Lal and Nasasdar Hussain (Excise and Taxation), Soheel Noor Shah, Surjeet Singh, Krishan Lal, Shafiq Ahmed and Vir Krishan Dhar (Handloom), Kusum Sharma and Pardeep Singh (Handicrafts), Fayaz Ahmad Banday, Ranjit Singh, Munib-ul-Hassan Malik, Prerna Raina, Devinder Singh Katoch, Vinod Kumar (Industries and Commerce Department Functional Managers), Nazir Ahmad Mir and Parvez Sajad Ganai (Information), Jugal Kishore Anand, Mohammad Latief, Sandish Kumar and Rasheeda Shahin (Labour), R S Jamwal and Asma Hamid (Stationery and Office Supplies) and Mushtaq Ahmad Wani, Faqir Chand Dansalia and Abdul Majid Zargar (Administrative Officers).
The Cabinet also ordered appointment of Ghulam Rasool Kumar, a member of J&K Cooperative (G) Service to the Time Scale of KAS. It further ordered release of grade of Time Scale of KAS in favour of A H Banday with effect from September 25, 2008 to June 30, 2012, which is the date of his retirement.
The Cabinet also confirmed re-employment of Dr Muneer Ahmad Masoodi as Medial Superintendent of GB Pant Hospital for a period of one year with effect from May 19, 2012.
