3rd batch of 656 pilgrims leaves for Budha Amarnath

JAMMU/ POONCH, July 31: Third batch of 656 pilgrims left  for Shri Budha Amarnath Ji shrine at Mandi in Poonch from Jammu base camp today.
The yatris including  512 males and 108 females besides 36 children,  left  for Poonch city in the morning  from Bhagwati Nagar base camp in 12 buses  and about half a dozen light motor vehicles.  The pilgrims were accorded grand reception at Sunderbani by the locals where they were served breakfast at the Langar and from there,  they arrived at Rajouri where after taking brief halt for the lunch, they proceeded for Bhimber Gali and then for Poonch.
They were accorded impressive reception by the members of Reception Committee including some majority community members. They have been accommodated in the  local `Sarais’ and Govt Higher Secondary School complex besides Degree College and Akhara Mandir  Hall. They will leave for Shri Budha Amarnath Shrine at Mandi tomorrow morning.
Meanwhile, second batch of pilgrims from Poonch left for Mandi town this morning.  Daljit Singh Chib, Vice Chairman of the J&K State Advisory Board for Development of  Kisans today flagged off fresh batch  from Poonch and also  visited the  shrine of  Shri Baba Bhudda Amarnath ji and paid obeisance at the shrine and prayed for sustained peace, harmony, progress and prosperity in the state and country.
Chib was accompanied by  RS Pathania, MLA Ramnagar; Pardeep Sharma, MLC;   Surinder Jain,  general secretary, All India Bajrang Dal;   Nishu Gupta from Vishav Hindu Parishad and large number of other representatives of  religious and social organisations.
Chib also interacted with the visiting devotees and asked them about facilities available to them at the Shrine. The arrangements for Langar has been  made by All India Bajrang Dal and Vishav Hindu Parishad, besides  various local organisations are actively involved in making arrangements for smooth conduct of yatra.
