JAMMU, June 11: The 3rd batch of Tawi Trekkers J&K comprising 28 students of Govt College for Women, Parade, Jammu left for Dharamshala to participate in the Dharamshala Himalayan Trekking Programme being organized by Tawi Trekkers J&K under the Chairmanship of Anil Goswami, former Union Home Secretary. Anu Sharma, Suksham Verma and Vikas Singh, senior members of the club accompanied the group as leaders.
Meanwhile, activists of the club led by Sonam Sidharth, Field Director of the programme have already made proper boarding, lodging and other necessary arrangements at Chamunda and Mcleodganj area for the smooth conduct of this prestigious trekking venture.
Earlier, the group was flagged off by Chairman, Team Jammu Zorawar Singh Jamwal from Kala Kendra, Jammu in the presence of Shawetica Khajuria, President; Ram Khajuria, Advisor of the Club and a number of parents of the participating trekkers.
The programme is being organized in cooperation with J&K Sports Council, Mountaineering Association of J&K, Sprawling Buds ICSE School, Bantalab, Jammu, District Mountaineering Associations Jammu, Udhampur and Samba.
