JAMMU, Dec 9: The 3rd District Jammu Dodgeball Championship 2024-25 concluded at Springdale School (CBSE), Rajouri Line, Muthi, here today with over 350 athletes from various schools and clubs participating in this exciting event. The competition featured four categories-U-17 Boys, U-17 Girls, U-14 Boys, and U-14 Girls-and witnessed intense matches showcasing the athletes’ skills and determination.
The championship, organized by Oneness Sports Health & Well-Being Cooperative Ltd. under the patronage of the J&K Dodgeball Association, provided a platform for local talent and highlighted the sport’s growing popularity in the region. The opening ceremony was inaugurated by Gourav Malhotra, Managing Director of Springdale School, who expressed his support for the event.
The closing ceremony saw Brigadier Vijay Sagar Dhema (Retd.), chief guest, along with Vikrant Dogra, President of the J&K Dodgeball Association, honoring the winners. Neerja Koul, Principal of Shamrock Elites School, Newplot, was the special guest.
Springdale School emerged victorious in the U-17 Boys and U-14 Girls categories, while Oneness Sports Health & Well-Being Cooperative Ltd. won in the U-17 Girls category. Scientia International School claimed the U-14 Boys title, and DBN School (CBSE) won the Overall Discipline Award.
