JAMMU, Sept 5: The 3rd J&K Ranking Table Tennis Championships 2024 have brought exciting action to the courts, with young talents from across the region battling for supremacy. In the highly anticipated Under-11 finals, Syrah Dewan and Alena Arora are set to face off for the girls’ title, while Saiyam Nischal will take on Zain Bhat in the boys’ final.
Syrah Dewan secured her spot in the final with a dominant 3-0 victory over Adhira Singh in the semi-finals. Alena Arora, meanwhile, overcame a tough challenge from Ridhime, defeating her by 3-1 to book her place in the final. Both finalists have showcased remarkable skill and determination throughout the tournament, and their title clash promises to be a gripping contest.
In the Under-11 Boys’ category, Saiyam Nischal delivered an impressive 3-0 win against Akshaj, advancing confidently to the final. Zain Bhat displayed similar resilience, defeating Aarav by 3-1 in a closely contested match. The stage is now set for an exciting battle between Saiyam and Zain for the coveted title.
The tournament also witnessed thrilling action in the Under-13 and Under-15 categories, with standout performances from players like Myrah Dewan, who defeated Alena Arora by 3-1 in the Under-13 Girls’ semi-final, and Srishti, who outplayed Syrah Dewan by 3-1 in the same category. Meanwhile, in the Under-13 Boys’ quarter-finals, top contenders Saiyam, Ahaan, Eeshan, and Advik progressed further in the competition with strong performances.
As the tournament heads towards its final stages, all eyes are on the young athletes who are vying for glory.
