JAMMU, Oct 15: Third Senior Women Hockey Tournament of district Jammu commenced today here at KK Hakku Stadium.
The tournament was declared open by Jaswant Singh, senior vice-president, Hockey J&K. The tournament is being organized by Hockey J&K and sponsored by J&K State Sports Council.
The inaugural match was played between Army Public School (APS) Mira Sahib and Government High School (GHS), Simbal Camp, in which APS Mira Sahib registered an easy win over GHS Simbal Camp by 5-0.
For APS Mira Sahib, 1st goal was scored by Nisha Choudhary in 7th minute, 2nd by Prableen Kour in 15th minute, 3rd goal by Sakshi Sharma in 25th minute, 4th by Kavleen Kour in 45th minute and final goal by captain, Simran Kour in 58th minute.
The matches were officiated by Joginder Singh, Jagjeet Singh and GS Bakshi.
