RAJOURI, July 23: The police has arrested four persons for their alleged involvement in a sacrilegious act and inciting possible communal tension in the area.
Reports said acting on a specific information, the police party from Rajouri rushed to spot near Darhali bridge and seized the animal flesh. It was later disposed off. The people from one community expressed strong resentment and also lodged their protest against the act. Taking swift action, the police arrested all the four persons and registered a case FIR No. 389/ 2014 against them.
The accused are identified as Mohd Ajaz, son of Mohd Alam, Mohd Amin, son of Abdul Rashid of Darhali, Abdul Rehman, son of Abdul Rashid of Keora and Mohd Sadiq, son of Ghulam Qadir, resident of Gurdan Pain. With the timely action of police, flaring up communal tension in the town was defused.
