Srinagar, Oct 12: Police today said four persons were arrested from Parigam Karewa area of Pulwama district over illegally extracting soil.
A police spokesman said that police in Pulwama was receiving complaints that some persons were illegally extracting soil from some areas. “Acting on the complaints, police raided Parigam Karewa area and arrested four persons on the spot,” he said.
The spokesman said one JCB earth mover cum excavator and three tractors were also seized by the police. A case has been registered and investigation was taken up, he added.
