DODA, June 15: Police today arrested two persons with 40 pouches of illicit liquor from Thathri area.
“On specific information, a police team from police station Thathri laid a naka at Kalnie Bridge, Thathri and apprehended two persons namely Joginder Singh son of Mulkh Raj Sharma, resident of Kandni (Kishtwar) and Suresh Kumar son of Naib Chand, resident of Kuntwara (at present Kandni) and recovered 40 nips of desi liquor from their possession”, a police spokesman said.
In this regard, a case FIR No 42/2017 under Section 48(A) Excise Act stands registered at police station Thathri and further investigation is going on.
The arrest and recovery was made by the police team led by Inspector Manjeet Singh, SHO, police station Thathri, under the supervision of ASP Bhaderwah, Shahzad Salaria and SDPO Bhaderwah, Brijesh Sharma. The naka was laid on the directions of SSP Doda, Mohammad Shabir.
