JAMMU, Jan 10: J&K Badminton Association is organizing 41st J&K State Badminton Championship at Police Badminton Hall, Police Lines Jammu, from January 13 to 17.
The championship is being organized to select J&K team for the Senior National Badminton Championship to be held at Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh from January 29 to February 5.
The Championship would be played in different categories–men singles and doubles, women singles and doubles, mixed doubles, junior (U-19) boys singles and doubles, junior (U-19) girls singles and doubles, U-17 boys singles and doubles, U-17 girls singles and doubles, sub junior (U-15) boys singles and doubles, sub junior (U-15) girls singles and doubles, mini (U-13) boys singles and doubles, mini (U-13) girls singles and doubles and U-10 boys and girls singles.
The qualifying matches will be played on January 13. The main draw matches will start on January 14 and the finals will be played on January 17. More than 150 players are expected to participate in this championship.
