CHANDIGARH, Sept 23: Taxi aggregator Ola today said it has launched ride-sharing platform, Ola Share, in the city.
With this, customers can reduce their travel expenses by up to 50 per cent and maximum of three people can share a cab together via Ola Share.
“Shared mobility has far reaching benefits: less traffic congestion on roads which means you and I will spend less time stuck in traffic, and do more productive things instead. Also, with Ola Share, the same convenience of a regular cab ride at a much lower fare means access to mobility for many more commuters, furthering our mission of building mobility for a billion people,” said Raghuvesh Sarup, CMO & Head of Categories at Ola in a statement here.
Chandigarh is a key market for Ola as it has the highest per capita vehicles in the country and is increasingly facing problems of traffic jams and lack of parking space, the company said.
All of Ola’s security features like, track your ride, share ride details, emergency contacts are available for users on ‘Ola Share’, it added. (PTI)
