NEW DELHI : The demonetisation issue continued to disrupt the proceedings of the Lok Sabha and the unrelenting Opposition again forced the adjournment of House today during Question Hour.
As soon as the House met for the day, Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge, his party colleagues and members from Trinamool Congress and Left parties urged Speaker Sumitra Mahajan to allow discussion on demonetisation under Rule 184 that entails voting.
Their demand was countered by the treasury benches. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar said the Government was always keen for the debate and the members could discuss the currency ban issue under Rule 193. (AGENCIES)
