JAMMU, Dec 2: The 46th Stag J&K-UT and Inter District Table Tennis Championship 2023 commenced at Indoor Sports Complex M.A. Stadium here today. The tournament was inaugurated by Dr Zafar Iqbal, Chief Accounts Officer J&K Sports Council (JKSC) in the presence of a galaxy of sports lovers.
Baljinder Pal Singh, Divisional Sports Officer and Sanjay Wahi were the guests of honour during the occasion.
More than 300 players were participating in various age categories both in men and women sections from different districts of the Union Territory. The tournament started with the Under-11 Boys and Girls matches and their results were Hopes Girls under 11 years) round one, Syrah beat Aisha by 2-0, Ridhimee beat Sunakshi by 2-0, Alena beat Sanvi by 2-0, Bhavin beat Asley by 2-1.
In Hopes Boys (Under 11) round one, Samar beat Zain by 2-0, Saiyam beat Sayeed by 2-0, Advik beat Yuvray by 2-1. Cadet Girls (Under 13) Round one, Myrah beat Sanvi by 2-0, Syrah beat Xernain by 2-0, Alena beat Sanvi Kundal by 2-0 and Gunjan beat Anvi by 2-0. Boy’s matches in cadet under 13 categories were underway till the last report came in.
