JAMMU, Nov 8: Today a meeting under the Chairmanship of Fr. Kuriakose was held in the office of Christian Sports Organization Jammu in which threadbare discussion were held regarding the arrangements for the smooth conduct of the “4th Christmas Soccer Championship for College students and youths of the State” at GGM Science College Football ground, here.
The meeting was attended by Rajesh Gill, president, Victor Sotra vice president, Asif Gill joint secretary, David Mattoo sports secretary, Rajesh Dhar, RP Singh, Sunil Sambyal, Shashi Paul, Sunny Gill, Nitu Khokher and Vinod Kandayara.
During the meeting it was decided that the 4th Christmas Soccer Championship shall be held from December 14 to December 20, 2015.
The tournament will be organized in collaboration with J&K Police. There will be no entry fees for the participating teams and the cash prize in the said tournament will be Rs 10,000.
The slogan of the tournament is “Be healthy -Don’t Do Drugs” , while the objective of the tournament is to provide platform to the youths and college students to exhibit their sports talent and help youths to shun drugs and live a healthy life.
It will be an open tournament and will be played on knockout basis so the teams from Colleges, Universities, Local Clubs from Jammu or Kashmir divisions are invited for participation.
