JAMMU, May 4: GD Goenka Public School, Jammu has concluded its three-day Model United Nations conference with a grand closing ceremony here today. The ceremony commenced with a soulful song performance, setting the stage for the proceedings. Chief Guest, Anmol Rathore, was warmly felicitated by Director Sanya Bansal and Principal Arindam Roy Choudhury.
Rathore, an accomplished alumnus of GD Goenka Public School Jammu, graced the occasion with her presence. Her remarkable achievements, including securing top positions in CLAT, GNLU, J&K Combined Competitive Examination, and the prestigious UPSC CSE examination, garnered admiration and inspiration from the audience.
The ceremony continued with the EB (Executive Board) felicitations and recognition of winning delegates, accompanied by simultaneous speeches expressing gratitude and reflections on the conference.
Highlighting the significance of diplomacy and collaboration, the results were announced by Shakun Choudhury, the Coordinator of the Senior Wing. In the AIPPM committee, Surya Bali earned the title of Best Delegate, while in Lok Sabha, Suhas Koul stood out as the Best Delegate.
In the UNHRC, Akhileshwar Singh Charak achieved the honour of Best Delegate, while UNCSW celebrated Guhika Sachdev as the Best Delegate. In UNSC Committee Aviral Kapoor earned the title of Best Delegate, while In the IP committee, Navaj Anand stood out as the Best Delegate. Furthermore, Jodhamal Public School was declared the best delegation at GD MUN 24. Susmita Roy Choudhury, the Dean of Academics expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest, Director, Principal, Coordinators, Executive Board members, delegates, Secretariat, organising committee members, the faculty and staff for their invaluable contributions to the success of the event. The Secretary General’s Speech was delivered by Mahir Mahajan.
