JAMMU, June 25: Prarna Charak of Government College for Women, Parade, Jammu who secured first position in all the four rounds in Women’s category of the Sunday Series of Sport Climbing Competitions was declared the “Champion of the Month” with 400 points after the conclusion of the 4th round, today. She was followed by Payal Sharma (290 points) and Shagun Sharma (130 points) of the same college in 2nd and 3rd positions.
Similarly, Aryan Rauthan of Army Public School, Damana who secured the top position in the first three rounds and second in 4th round of the competition in the Sub Junior Boys category bagged the title of ‘Champion of the Month’ with 380 points. He was followed by Deepak Singh (165points) and Udhay Singh(130points).
In the Mini Boys category Vidur Shoor of G D Goenka Public School Jammu who collected 365 points by securing first position in the first three rounds and third position in 4th round today was declared the ‘Champion of the Month’. Hashveer with 260 points and Devansh Sharma with 195 points bagged the 2nd& 3rd positions.
However, there was tough competition in the Mini Girls category. Manya Verma who collected 360 points by securing first place in the 1st and 2nd rounds and 2nd position in the 3rd and 4th rounds of the competition won the prestigious title of “Champion of the Month”. Manya was closely followed by Ayaana Bhagat (345points) who after securing the 3rd and 2nd positions in the first and second round of the competition clinched the top spot in the 3rd and 4th round of the competition. Nivedita Kotwal bagged the 3rd spot with 260 points.
In the Junior Boys category Herman Samotra of Sprawling Buds ICSE School was declared the ‘Champion of the Month’ with 325 points. He was followed by Aaradhya Manhas (280points} of St. Xavier Senior Secondary School and Saksham Slathia (275 points). Kashish Bharti of Govt. Hr. Secondary School, Muthi who participated only in the 3rd and 4th round of the competition and bagged the 1st position in both the rounds was at the 4th spot with 200 points.
There was not much competition in the Junior Girls Category in which Meetali Khajuria was adjudged the “Champion of the Month after the 4th round of the competition. She was followed by Arushi and Riya Choudhary. Similarly, Jeevika was declared the “Champion of the Month” who was followed by Priya and Diya.
All the winners shall be honoured by Tawi Trekkers J&K in a function to be held during the 5th round of the “Sunday Series of Competitions” on 2nd July.
