RAMNAGAR, Aug 19: A Local Adalat cum Awareness Camp was organized today by Tehsil legal Services Committee (TLSC), Ramnagar, here in the premises of Court Complex, which solved five cases out of seven taken by it.
The camp was held under the chairmanship of Sub Judge Ramnagar, Sandeep Kour, who is also the chairman of TLSC.
The Lok Adalat took up seven cases of criminal and civil nature and settled five of them on the spot.
Speaking on the occasion, Kour made people aware about the legal aid being provided to the poor people. She made the participants aware about various Acts and Schemes launched by the Government for the welfare of public and urged them to avail the maximum benefits of the schemes.
Besides Advocates KD Sharma, Sudesh Gupta, ML Gupta and Bar members, Panchs and Sarpanchs also attended the Lok Adalat.
