5 Star outplays Uchhad to win T20 title

MENDHAR, Dec 16: Defeating Uchhad Cricket Club in an easy contest by 5 wickets in the summit clash, 5 Star Cricket Club Poonch won the title trophy of the T20 Cricket Tournament, organized by Press Council of Mendhar at OP Hill Stadium, here today.
Winning the toss and batting first, Uchhad Club collapsed at a paltry total of 63 runs in the 14 overs. None of the batsmen could cross the the double figure mark and Basharat Hussain with 8 runs was the top scorer. For 5 Star Club, skipper Basharat Hussain Shah was the wrecker-in-chief, who captured 5 important wickets.
In reply, 5 Star Club chased the target easily in 13 overs by losing 5 wickets and won the match by 5 wickets. Nazim Manhas, Nazarat Hussain and Badshah were the main scorers, contributing 23, 19 and 10 runs to the total respectively. Faisal Saleem was declared man of the series, while Tariq Hussain Shah was adjudged man of the match.
The winners were awarded with a cash prize of Rs 10,000 along with the trophy and mementoes by the chief guest, M S Nazki, president Press Council of Mendhar, while the runners-up team was presented a cash prize of Rs 5000 along with trophy and mementoes.
