REASI, May 2: In a drive against illegal mining, Reasi police has initiated strict action against the people involved in illegal mining and minting money out of the public resources.
In random checking, Police teams from Reasi inspected at different locations and seized five vehicles engaged in illegal mining. In a surprise operation which was carried out at different locations team of Police Station Reasi seized two Tippers bearing registration numbers JK14A-4205 and JK02AV-3575 involved in transportation of illegal mining material.
In a separate incident team of Police Post Talwara laid surprise naka on Jerri road and seized two dumpers bearing registration numbers JK20B- 6555 and JK14 E- 6991 involved in transportation of illegal mining material.
Team of Police post Mallikote Chassana seized one tractor-trolley without number involved in illegal mining during night hours.
After seizure of these vehicles Mining Officer has initiated necessary legal action.
