BHADERWAH, Sept 7: Police seized 50 timber scants from Andera nallah in Shapan area.
As per police sources, on specific information, police party from police station Bhaderwah headed by SDPO Bhaderwah Sajjad Khan under the supervision of SSP Doda Zahid Manhas raided the Andera nullah in Shapan area.
Police team seized 50 scants of timber, while the smugglers of the green gold managed to escape from the spot. The seized timber was handed over to Forest Department.
A case under FIR Number 91/15 under Section 379 RPC and 6 Forest Act has been registered at police station Bhaderwah and special teams have been constituted to nab the timber smugglers.
