JAMMU/SRINAGAR/ LEH, Mar 8: Fifty three COVID positives cases were today reported including 32 in Kashmir division and 21 in Jammu while the Union Territory of Ladakh recorded 11 positives.
Among 21 cases in Jammu division, 14 were registered in Jammu district, three each in Doda and Ramban and one in Rajouri while rest six districts didn’t report any fresh cases.
With 32 recoveries, number of active positive cases in the Jammu division has come down to 149. All 11 fresh COVID positive cases in the UT of Ladakh were reported from Leh district.
Ladakh now has 117 active positive cases—115 in Leh and two in Kargil.
Meanwhile, Kashmir today reported 32 fresh cases of COVID-19. Those who tested positive include 14 from Srinagar, 11 from Baramulla, 6 from Kupwara and 1 from Shopian.
With the fresh cases, the number of positive cases in Kashmir division has reached 287,200 including 284,606 recoveries and 2,423 deaths.
The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 320 including 171 from Kashmir division.
With 58 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 448,254 which is 98.88 percent of the total cases.
