NEW DELHI, Oct 4: Mustard seed prices recovered by Rs 12 to Rs 3,680 per quintal in futures trading today on building up of positions by participants at existing levels, triggered by a firming trend at the spot markets.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, mustard seed for delivery this month contracts improved by Rs 12 or 0.33 per cent to Rs 3,680 per quintal, showing an open interest of 24,710 lots.
In a similar manner, the delivery for the most traded November increased by Rs 7 or 0.19 per cent to Rs 3,781 per quintal, depicting an open interest of 34,920 lots.
Marketmen said fresh positions created by participants, tracking a firm trend at the spot markets on surging demand against thin arrivals, mainly kept mustard seed prices higher at futures market here. (PTI)
