JAMMU/SRINAGAR/ LEH, Jan 31: Fifty seven persons tested positive for COVID-19 including 43 in Kashmir and 14 in Jammu while 70 others recovered from the virus today in J&K.
Of 14 new Corona cases in Jammu region, seven were reported from Jammu district, three Doda, two Udhampur and one each in Kishtwar and Ramban districts. Rest five districts didn’t report any cases today.
Of 36 persons, who recovered from the virus in Jammu region, 27 belonged to Jammu and five to Udhampur district.
Jammu region now has 51553 Corona cases. Among them, 168 are active positives while 50664 have recovered from the virus and there have been 721 casualties.
Only one COVID positive case was reported in Leh district in the Union Territory of Ladakh today. Ladakh has 9720 cases but only 67 are active as 9523 have been treated and there were 130 fatalities.
Meanwhile, 43 people today tested positive in Kashmir for COVID-19.
Srinagar reported 27 cases, Baramulla 3, Budgam 2, Pulwama one, Kupwara one, Anantnag 3, Ganderbal 5 and Kulgam one.
With fresh cases Srinagar has now 26212 positive cases with 237 active, 25519 recovered, 456 deaths; Baramulla has 8118 positive cases with 44 active, 7900 recovered, 174 deaths; Budgam reported 7768 positive cases with 37 active cases, 7614 recovered, 117 deaths; Pulwama has 5720 positive cases with 49 active, 5583 recovered and 88 deaths; Kupwara has 5659 positive cases with 31 active, 5533 recoveries, 95 deaths; Anantnag district has 4903 positive cases with 56 active, 4762 recovered, 85 deaths; Bandipora has 4692 positive cases with 24 active and 4607 recoveries, 61 deaths; Ganderbal has 4616 positive cases with 52 active, 4518 recoveries 46 deaths; Kulgam has 2695 positive cases with 25 active, 2616 recoveries and 54 deaths while as Shopian has 2570 positive cases with25 active cases, 2506 recoveries and 39 deaths.
In J&K, out of 1,24,506 cases, 721 are active, 1,21,822 have recovered and 1936 have died including and 1215 in Kashmir division.
Moreover, 70 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals including 34 from Kashmir Division.
