5th batch of 814 pilgrims leaves for Budha Amarnath

JAMMU/ POONCH, Aug 2: Fifth batch of 814 pilgrims left  for Shri Budha Amarnath Ji shrine at Mandi in Poonch from Jammu base camp today.
The pilgrims including 710 male and 99 females  from  various states in 21 vehicles including some LMVs ,   left  for Poonch city in the morning  from Bhagwati Nagar base camp. The pilgrims were accorded grand reception at  Sunderbani  by the locals where they were served breakfast at  the Langar and from there,  they arrived at  Rajouri where after taking brief halt for the lunch, they proceeded for Bhimber Gali and then for Poonch.
They were accorded impressive reception by the members of Reception Committee including some majority community members. They have been accommodated in the  local `Sarais’ and Govt Higher Secondary School complex besides Degree College. . They will leave for Shri Budha Amarnath Shrine at Mandi tomorrow morning.
Meanwhile, third batch of  about 700 pilgrims from Poonch left for Mandi town this morning.  The pilgrims  paid obeisance at the Holy temple amidst chanting of Har Har Mahadev, Bam Bam Bhole.  The pilgrims were received by the local Mendir/ Reception  Committee and other prominent persons of the area.
