5th District Srinagar Yogasana Sports C’ship concludes

SRINAGAR, July 31: The 5th District Srinagar Yogasana Sports Championship 2024-25 concluded at the Sher-i-Kashmir Indoor Sports Complex, Srinagar, celebrating the rising popularity of Yogasana sports in the region. Sponsored by the J&K Sports Council under the “My Youth My Pride” initiative, the event saw participation from over 200 athletes representing various academies and schools across Srinagar. Competitors, ranging from cadet (below 10) to seniors (18+ to 28), showcased their skills in five key events: Traditional, Artistic Single, Artistic Pair, Artistic Group, and Rhythmic Pair.
A standout moment of the championship was the recognition of Bilal Ahmad Dar, Rehaab Zargar, and Mufallah Fateh as the Best Athletes, honouring their exceptional performances. The event was graced by Nuzhat Gazala as the chief guest, with prominent figures like Mushtaq Ahmad Zargar, Adil Khan, Maqsood Khan, Aijaz Ahmad Bhat, Shabir Ahmad Dar, and Zubida Lateef also in attendance.
The championship not only provided a platform for young athletes to demonstrate their abilities but also underscored the significance of Yogasana in promoting physical and mental well-being. This event marked a significant step forward in the development and recognition of Yogasana sports in Srinagar.
