JAMMU, Dec 30: The 5th edition of the Kashmir Premier League (KPL) was inaugurated with a grand ceremony at Country Stadium, Gharota, today. SP Rural Jammu, Brijesh Sharma, attended the event as the chief guest and motivated both players and spectators with his inspiring words.
The tournament features 16 teams, divided into four groups, competing for the prestigious championship title. Sultan Warriors Baramulla, the defending champions of the 2023-24 edition will be looking to retain their crown. Previous editions of the KPL were hosted in Ganaur, Haryana, highlighting the growing recognition and reach of the tournament.
The opening match of this edition was held between Hope Outfits and Friends Traders Ganderbal, with both teams showcasing their skills and sportsmanship. The event is being organized under the theme “Yes Life, No Drugs,” aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle and positive habits through the power of sports.
