5th Governing Body meet of DRDA held

Samba, Apr 26: In order to review the functioning of the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), the Governing Body meet was held here today.
Chander Parkash Ganga, Minister for Industries and Commerce, Jugal Kishore Sharma, MP Jammu-Poonch, Dr. D. K. Manyal, MLA Samba and Kuldeep Kumar, MLA, Hiranagar participated in the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, Jugal Kishore dwelled on the importance of rural development schemes and asked the officers to work with zeal and dedication. Chander Prakash, Minister for Industries & Commerce also stressed on the need to inculcate the work ethics in the functioning of the department and speedy delivery of services to public.
Earlier, Sheetal Nanda, DDC Samba informed about the various activities, progress and achievements of DRDA and discussed the agenda of the meeting. In the Governing Body meet, it was unanimously decided to recommend the cases of three employees of DRDA who were engaged on need basis to Rural Development Department for their regularization as per the guidelines in vogue.
Besides other members Vivek Sharma, ADDC, Satish Sharma, GM DIC, Balbir Singh, PO DRDA , PO ICDS Samba, Sarpanch Ghagwal and other officers attended the meet.
