5th Range Police Volleyball Friendship Cup inaugurated

JAMMU, Dec 14: Giving momentum to the J&K Police drive to bridge the gap between public and police as also to channelize the energy of youth in right direction, Range Police today organized 5th and last Volleyball Friendship Cup Tournament, under Civic Action Programme at Parade ground, here today.
The tournament was inaugurated by Shakeel Ahmed Beig, DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range. He was accompanied by Jugal Manahas, SP City North; Kulbir Handa, SDPO City North; Rajesh Gill, Chief Prosecuting Officer; Prashant Mahajan, Chief Prosecuting Officer; Mahesh Sharma, SHO Police Station Pacca Danga and Bharat Sharma, SHO Police Station City.
Mr Beig in his inaugural address said that police is organizing various programmes under Civic Action Programme in order to bridge the gap between police and public, adding that sports activities are organized to help youth not to derail from the mainstream.
Meanwhile, Jammu University Red, Jammu University Blue, J&K Police team and Ranbir School team have entered into the semifinals to be held tomorrow at the same venue.
