SRINAGAR, May 13: Police recovered 6.2 kilograms of poppy straw and arrested a drug peddler at Jawahar Tunnel today.
A Police spokesman said that Police party of Police Post Jawahar Tunnel, during a naka checking arrested one person namely Surinder Kumar, a resident of Manwal Bimyal Pathankote Punjab who was found carrying poppy straw in his vehicle.
He said on this instance, a case FIR No.116/2018 under Section 8/15 NDPS Act has been registered in Police Station Qazigund and investigation in the case is going on.
