JAMMU, Sept 13: “6-Day workshop on Maintenance of Hardware and Software & Techniques & Preparation of Models/Low Cost Teaching Aids” for Elementary Level Teachers,  organized by Educational Technology Cell of State Institute of Education Jammu, concluded today.
During the workshop, knowledge of the participants from various districts of Jammu division was updated for maintaining the various hardware and software as well as preparation of Low Cost Teaching Aids/Models.
Saroop Kumar Raina, Senior Field Advisor, SIE Jammu, presided over the valedictory function of the said workshop. While interacting with the participants, he highlighted the importance of ICT Techniques in Teaching- Learning Process and use of teaching aids in actual classroom transaction. He stressed upon the participants that whatever knowledge acquired by them must be applied in the actual classroom situations. He also appreciated the curiosity and enthusiasm of the participating  teachers  who inspite of inclement weather conditions managed to participate in the workshop.
Shakti Kumar (Lect), Dr Rabia Naseem, Anil Kumar,  Archana Khanna Research Officers,  Surinder Kumar Gupta (Ex RO),  Ashok Kumar Sharma (Ex Ic ET Cell) acted as Resource Persons for imparting training to the participants.
The Programme was co-ordinated by Rajinder Kumar, Research officer, SIE  Jammu while Kailash Kotwal , Veena Gupta and Akash Khajuria acted as Associate Co-ordinators . Besides this  Nirmal Devi, Master provided logistics support and Daulat Ram Sharma RO provided audio-visual support.
Other dignitaries, who were present on the occasion, included S L Tengloo,  Sarita Anand,  Brij Lal, Ajit Kumar, Field Advisors and all the research officers and  other teaching faculty of SIE Jammu.
