6 injured in road mishaps

UDHAMPUR, Aug 1: A minor boy and two scooty riding girls were injured when the two-wheeler hit the former while walking on the roadside.
The accident took place near Battal Balian By- Pass Udhampur. Locals took the injured to District Hospital Udhampur and they were identified as Anil Singh (8) son of Darshan Singh of Rathian Udhampur, Shibani Sharma, daughter of Rakesh Shrma and Pari Rajput .
Another pedestrian was injured when a Tanker bearing registration number JK02BD-4182 hit him near Moud on the National Highway. The injured, identified as Sham Lal (50) son of Mina Ram of Sunetar Ramnagar, was rushed to hospital.
Meanwhile, two children were injured today in two separate road mishaps in Jammu.
According to a police spokesman, a nine year old girl child identified as Harpreet Kour daughter of Jagjeet Singh, resident of Reshamghar, was hit and injured by a rashly driven scooty near her residence.
“Similarly, another child identified as Kanha (3) son of Amrish Saini, resident of Gandhinagar was hit and injured by a by a car at Gandhi Nagar”, the spokesman said, adding both the injured children were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment.
He said that in both cases the concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
