6 shopkeepers booked for defying restrictions

SAMBA, Sept 29: District police Samba, acting tough against the violation of restrictions, booked six shop owners in the territorial jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Vijaypur.
Acting on reliable information, regarding running of shops beyond relaxation hours, a police team of PS Vijaypur registered two FIRs against six Grocery, Karyana shop owners for keeping their shops open beyond permitted time slot as ordered by DM Samba.
FIR No. 164/2020 U/S 188/269 IPC, 51(B) Disaster Management Act stands registered against the following Karayana shop owners of Dera Gandotra Jakh :
Sanket Sharma, S/o Subash Chander, R/o Dera Gandotra Jakh, Vijaypur, Surinder Kumar S/o Janak Raj R/o Dera Gandotra Jakh, Vijaypur, Mukesh Sharma S/o Brahm Dutt Lal R/o Dera Gandotra Jakh, Vijaypur, Kulbhushan Kumar S/o Maggar Ram R/o Dera Gandotra Jakh, Vijaypur.
FIR No. 165/2020 U/S 188/269 IPC 51(B) Disaster Management Act stands registered against the following Karyana shop owners situated at Gurha Morh Vijaypur, Shiv Shamboo, S/o Thoru Ram R/o Amowal, Vijaypur , Sukhbinder Singh S/o Rajinder Singh R/o W No. 08 Vijaypur.
The crackdown on violators will continue to ensure safety of precious lives and to prevent spread of COVID -19. Samba Police once again urged citizens of this district to follow COVID Protocol, SOPs and abide by the restriction orders issued by competent authorities.
