JAMMU, May 26: A six-year-old child was killed when a water tank attached to a tractor fell on him in Pounichak area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, a male child identified as Shubhum son of Dilla Ram, resident of Chattisgarh (at present Shiv Nagar, Jammu), was taking rest under a water tank attached to a tractor in a field where some construction work is going on, when the tank suddenly fell on him this afternoon.
The child received serious injuries in the mishap and was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he succumbed to his injuries at about 7.15 pm. “The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for post mortem”, while a case was registered in this connection at concerned police station.
