Srinagar, Jan 12: Sub-District Magistrate Tral, in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district, Riyaz Ahmad Malik, today suspended 67 employees in the area as they were found absent from duty.
Malik inspected various Government offices in Tral area today along with the team of officers and found 67 employees of different departments absent from duties without seeking prior permission from any authority.
The SDM checked 12 main offices in Tral area and suspended 15 employees in Tral Municipality, three from Power Development Department, three form CDPO, one from Range office, 16 from Irrigation Division Tral, five from ITI Tral, three from SDAEO, four from Live Stock Development office, one from Treasury office Tral, 7 from Agriculture, two from PHE and three from BDO, respectively.
SDM Tral immediately placed all absent employees under suspension and recommended names of few to higher authority for desired action. Taking serious note of the absenteeism, the SDM has also sought explanations from all the absentees within fortnight and instructed all other employees to remain punctual.
People of the Tral appreciated the action of SDM Tral against the employees who were found absent during the working hours.
