RAJOURI, Oct 11: 6th District Wushu Championship was held at Harsh Niketan Higher Secondary School, Sunderbani.
About 250 students’ maximum girls from different educational institutions and clubs including International Public School Bajabain, Modern Academy Kalideh, BP World School Sunderbani, Government High School Patrara, Government MS Mawa, New National Public Higher Secondary School Nowshera, Delhi Public School Rajouri, Universal Sports Club Sunderbani and Bajabain participated in the competition.
Sixty boys and 40 girls were declared winners in different categories druing the competition and awarded with prizes by Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) Sunderbani, Sudhir Bali who was the chief guest on the occasion.
While speaking, Sudhir Bali underlined the need for inciting more steps for making martial arts more popular particularly among the female students.
Charan Singh Slathia, Organizer of the championship, Er Ishan Sharma Managing Director Harsh Niketan, KK Khaki, Advisor of the host school, Vivek Bharti, President Helping Hands NGO and Jatinder Singh Chib, President Youth National Conference were also present on the occasion.
