JAMMU, Oct 5: Sports Development Society, Samba organized Under-7 Athletic Tournament at Nav Vidya Higher Secondary School (NV HSS), Dhalote Samba.
About 120 players of different sports clubs participated in the tournament.
Puran Singh, retired Master and a social worker, was the chief guest. He also distributed medals and trophies to the winners.
In 50 metres Boys’ race, Akshay Sharma stood first, Sahid Ali 2nd and Nitish Choudhary secured 3rd place while in 50 metres Girls’ race, Ritika Sharma bagged first position while Tammana Sharma stood 3rd.
In 100 metres Boys’ race, Shakeel Ahmed bagged 1st position, Vansh Jamwal 2nd and Nitish Choudhary claimed 3rd position whereas in Girls’ category, Shivangi Kundal managed 1st place, Arti Sharma 2nd and Shivani Devi secured 3rd place.
In High Jump (Boys’ category), Amit Singh stood 1st, Vansh Singh 2nd and Nikhil Singh managed 3rd place while in Girls’ category, Arti Sharma secured 1st position, Sunita Devi 2nd and Arika Sharma bagged 3rd position.
In Long Jump (Boys’ category), Sahid Ali stood 1st, Vimal 2nd and Charnjeet managed 3rd place while in Girls’ category, Neeelakshi, Manvi and Nancy secured 1st, 2nd and 3rd places, respectively.
In Tripple Jump 1st position was bagged by Amit, 2nd by Atul and 3rd by Nikhil whereas in Girls’ category, Neelakshi stood 1st while Nancy and Sunita secured 2nd and 3rd positions, respectively.
