RAMBAN, Nov 13: Batote police today arrested 7 gamblers and recovered stake money of Rs 43860 as well as dice used for gambling from their possession.
The accused were arrested during a raid at gambling spot, Tringla (Batote) around 12:45 am. The arrested gamblers were identified as Raj Kumar son of Krishan Chand of Ward Number 2, Mohd Sadiq son of Methab Din of Ward Number 5, Partab Chand son of Bhagwan Chand of Ladwal, Satpal Singh son of Bharat Singh of Kothri, Satish Kumar son of Mansa Ram of Thopal, Dev Raj son of Ram Chand of Tringla and Mohd Rafiq son of Ahmed Din of Boon Bari.
In this connection, legal action was taken under Section 13 of Gambling Act in police station Batote. The arrest and seizure was made by a police party headed by Inspector Ranjeet Singh Rao, SHO police station Batote under the supervision of Rajinder Chib Deputy SP Headquarters Ramban and overall supervision of Haseeb-ur- Rehman (SSP Ramban).
