7th District Kathua Karate-Do-C’ship held

KATHUA, Nov 10: The 7th District Kathua Karate-Do-Championship was organized by District Kathua Karate Association (DKKA) at Indoor Hall, Sports Stadium, here.
The Championship was inaugurated by Additional SP Ramnish Gupta.
Around 100 players from different areas of the Kathua district participated in the Championship.
In the Championship, 25 players won Gold medals in different categories, 25 players won Silver medals and 24 players won Bronze medals.
National qualified referees Umesh Rekhi, Sanjay, Sourav Mehra and Anil Sharma monitored the Championship.
Inspector Amit Sangra, Chief Patron DKKA was also present as special monitoring authority.
On the valedictory function, SSP Kathua Sridhar Patil was the chief guest, who presented the medals.
While speaking, SSP encouraged the youth to participate in the sports activities and also asked them to stay away from drug menace.
President DKKA Varinder Sharma gave best wishes to the Gold medals winners, who will now participate in the State Championship.
Joint Secretary DKKA Vishal Salgotra was also present on the occasion.
