JAMMU, Oct 15: The 7th Jammu District Tennikoit Championship for men and women took place at Bhargav High School playfield in Gadigarh, here organized by the J&K Tennikoit Association in collaboration with the J&K Sports Council. Eight teams from the district participated in the event.
In the men’s final, Bhargav Sports Academy triumphed over Shaheed Bhagat Singh Club with a score of 19-15, claiming the Championship title. Shaheed Bhagat Singh Club secured second place, while Azad Tennikoit Club finished third. In the women’s category, J&K Sports emerged victorious, narrowly defeating Bhargav Sports Academy by 19-18, with Shaheed Bhagat Singh Club taking third place.
Rajeev Sharma, chief guest and president of the Tennikoit Federation of India, praised the Jammu District Tennikoit Association for successfully organizing the Championship and assured support for promoting the sport.
