7th Reasi District Open Fencing Championship concludes

REASI, Dec 25: 7th Reasi District Open Fencing Championship concluded at Indoor Hall, District Institute of Education and Training, here today.
The Championship was organised by Reasi District Fencing Association in All Age Groups including boys and girls, in which around 100 fencers drawn from different clubs and schools participated.
Nirmal Sharma, Deputy Commissioner Reasi, was the chief guest on the occasion, who while encouraging the fencers said that a modern fencing Hall will be constructed in Reasi at an earliest for which land will be provided by the District Administration and financial assistance will be provided by Baldev Raj Sharma, MLA Reasi, out of his Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
The guest of honour on the occasion was Principal GDC Reasi Dr Ajeet Angral and the special guest was Dr SS Chib, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Reasi. Shiv Kumar Sharma, president J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association was also present on the occasion.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were president Zorawar Fencing Club Reasi, Rakesh Kumar, Dr Ranjeet Singh and General Secretary Reasi District Fencing Association, Jagdish Kumar.
The cultural Programme presented by the fencers made the valedictory function colourful.
Winners of the Championship were awarded with certificates and medals on the occasion. Amba Kids Home Panthal emerged overall winners in girls section and Zorawar Fencing Club Reasi won overall Championship in boys section.
Dimple Thappa, Shivani Hans, Adhirath Kesar, Amit Manhas, Nihal Singh and Ranvijay Singh were the Technical officials of the function.
