RAMBAN, May 25: Foiling four attempts of bovine smuggling, Ramban Police today rescued 81 bovine animals.
Acting on specific inputs regarding transportation of bovine animals, different police parties of P/S Ramban and PP Patnitop intercepted four different vehicles bearing registration numbers JK03G- 5251, JK02CQ- 1123, JK03F- 5330 and JK19- 6947, which were on way from Jammu towards Srinagar.
During checking, these vehicles were found loaded with 81 bovine animals with utmost cruelty and without any arrangements of food and water. Police rescued all the animals even as drivers of these vehicles managed to escape.
In this regard, case FIR number 193/2022, 194/2022 and 195/2022 have been registered in PS Ramban while case FIR number 117/2022 was registered in P/S Batote under relevant sections of law.
