JAMMU, June 7: Talab Tillo police arrested nine persons along with Rs 14100 stake money and playing cards.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Talab Tillo police post conducted raid in Puran Nagar area and arrested nine gamblers along with Rs 14100 stake money and playing cards.
The arrested persons have been identified as Vijay Kumar, son of Sadhu Ram, Malkit Kumar, son of Sudagar Mal, Mohammad Raju, son of Mohammad Akram, Neeraj Verma, son of Suresh Kumar and Jagdish, son of Romal Singh, all residents of Puran Nagar and Sumit Kumar, son of Vijay Kumar, Ajay Sharma, son of Puran Chand, Rajesh Kumar, son of Ramdass and Mudassir Ahmed, son of Mohammad Qadir, all residents of Bhagwati Nagar.
A case under Section 13 Gambling Act has been registered at Nowabad police station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Talab Tillo police post SI Sumit Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO West Pranav Mahajan and SP City Dr Vinod Kumar.
