90 strips of banned drugs, heroin recovered, 1 held

RAJOURI, Feb 12: The police arrested a local drug-peddler and recovered a big consignment of banned drugs / tablets from their possession.
As per reports a team of police led by SHO Rajouri, Inspector Aejaz Ahmed Wani under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Rajouri Ashwani Kumar on a specific information laid a naka at Sheema crossing. During naka, a youth namely Sikander Mirza, son of Mohd Jahangir Mirza, resident of Ujhaan in Rajouri who was carrying a polythene bag was intercepted and on search of the said bag, 900 tablets (90 strips) of banned drug Tepandazole/ Tramadole and heroin weighing 7 grams wrapped in black polythene were recovered.
On this recovery, a case FIR No. 55 u/s 8/21/22 NDPS was registered at Police Station, Rajouri.
