Srinagar, July 21: Former Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA), Ghulam Qadir Bedar of Pattan in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district today passed away after a prolonged illness.
The deceased was said to be not keeping well from the last several years and was suffering from multiple ailments.
The deceased was buried in his ancestral graveyard near Eidgah, Pattan in which a number of people participated.
Meanwhile, former Chief Minister J&K and Member Parliament Dr. Farooq Abdullah visited the bereaved family at Pattan and offered his condolences on the occasion.
Ghulam Qadir Bedar was father of the National Conference leader and former SSP, Srinagar Reyaz Bedar, Vice President High Court Bar Association Advocate Aijaz Bedar Beda, Senior Journalist, Mehmood Bedar and the younger brother of former IGP Kashmir Ashraf Bedar.
