REASI, July 21: Aggrieved over extremely bad condition of PMGSY road from Chasana to Kalaban, locals held a strong protest demonstration at Tulii, here today.
The protesting villagers raised slogans against PMGSY Department and the District administration, which have failed to complete the road even after more than 15 years.
Work on this 12-km long road was started in 2005-06 and the earth work was completed in 2007. However, even after spending more than Rs six crores, there was no blacktopping of the road and drainage work till date with the result that even walking on this stretch of 12 kms is almost impossible because of mud filled pits.
The protesters claimed that the matter was repeatedly brought into the notice of PMGSY Department and the District administration but no action was taken.
