JAMMU, July 21: A delegation of Plus 2 Officers Forum called on Director School Education Jammu (Chairperson Divisional Committee) and Chief Accounts Officers (Member of the Committee) for highlighting demands of the cadre.
The delegation, led by the Forum president Ram Parkash Sharma, demanded removal of pay anomaly, grade pay with the benefit of Assured Carrier Progression (ACP) and restoration of non-vacational status.
The President pleaded that Principal was in higher grade than BDO, College Lecturer and Tehsildar but they were getting higher grade pay. “The Principal of J&K UT is getting Grade Pay of 5600 whereas their counterparts are getting 7600,” he said and added that the Principals are promoted after serving 20 to 22 years with a grade pay of 5600 from 5400 with no benefit of Time Bound/Running Pattern.
Pleading that the Principals are employees of 24 hours without the benefit of earned leave, the Forum demanded grade pay of 7600 along with the restoration of non-vacational status to the Principals besides regularization of the incharge cadre.
The forum extended all possible support to the Director School Education Jammu, Anuradha Gupta in her endeavor to streamline the education system for restoring the splendor of Government schools.
The delegation comprised of Sanjay Pandita, Shiv Kumar Pandita, Subash Sharma, N K Sharma, Harbans Choudhary, Dr Kishore and Balbir Sudan.
