Dheeraj inspects beautification works in Jammu city

JAMMU, July 24: Principal Secretary Housing and Urban Development Department, Dheeraj Gupta, today conducted an extensive tour of Jammu city and inspected various works being undertaken by concerned departments for the beautification of the city.
He was accompanied by Divisional Commissioner, Sanjeev Verma, besides engineers of PWD and other concerned officers.
The Principal Secretary started his tour from Jammu Airport, where he inspected ongoing beautification works. The concerned engineers apprised him about the work progress and future work plan. They informed him that the work on divider improvement is in progress.
He directed the concerned officers for plantation of trees on dividers besides installation of tree guards for their protection. He further asked them to repair the road, footpaths at the earliest.
The Principal Secretary also visited Satwari Chowk, Bikram Chowk, Bhagwati Nagar and inspected beautification works taken up by various departments.
He directed the concerned officers to improve footpaths and draw wall paintings, depicting culture of Jammu and Kashmir.
He passed directions for expediting the pace of works and showing a visible impact on the ground.
